Product Designer (Healthcare)

Location: Thanjavur | Experience: 3-5 years | Work Mode: Work From Office

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Designer to join our Healthcare SaaS team and own the end-
to-end product design process. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and
healthcare domain experts to design intuitive user experiences, establish scalable design
systems, and help build a strong design practice across the organization.
This role requires someone who can think beyond individual screens, solve complex product
problems, and create experiences that balance user needs, business goals, and technical
feasibility.

What You'll Do

● Own the end-to-end product design lifecycle – from discovery and research to design,
validation, developer handoff, and continuous improvement.

● Partner with Product Managers and stakeholders to understand user needs, define
product requirements, and shape product experiences.

● Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, usability testing, and competitive
analysis to uncover user insights and validate design decisions.

● Translate user and business requirements into user journeys, information
architecture, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.

● Design intuitive experiences for healthcare products including:
○ Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR)
○ Patient Portals
○ Practice Management Systems
○ Medical Billing & Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
○ Clinical Dashboards

● Build, maintain, and evolve scalable design systems, reusable UI components, and
design guidelines.

● Define and implement design processes, standards, documentation, and review
practices to ensure consistency across products.

● Use customer feedback, usability insights, and product analytics to improve product
usability and user adoption continuously.

● Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Clinical SMEs, and business
stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

● Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Design
Reviews, and Sprint Reviews.

What We're Looking For

3–5 years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/Product Designer, or similar role.
Minimum one year of experience designing US Healthcare or HealthTech products.
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design and measurable product impact.
Experience designing complex SaaS applications.
Proficiency in Figma, FigJam, prototyping, and design systems.
Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, accessibility, and design thinking.
Good understanding of provider, patient, clinical, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows.
Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements. Knowledge of HL7 or FHIR is an added advantage.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum product teams.
Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
A problem-solving mindset with the ability to make design decisions using research, feedback, and data.

Nice to Have

Experience implementing DesignOps practices or design governance.
Experience with product analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and frontend implementation.
Experience designing AI-powered or data-intensive products.
Experience mentoring or guiding junior designers.
